🙋♀️ My name is Femke, and I am excited to write this week’s newsletter. 🗞️
👥 I am taking care of community management and am here to help build strong relations with the Weaviate community.
🫶 I look forward to helping maintain a community where we can support each other in achieving our goals with Weaviate. We need to do this (not only) for but as much as with the Weaviate community.
🔔 In this newsletter, I’ll share the latest updates of the last two weeks, upcoming events, and all other exciting things happening at Weaviate.

This week, we launched the New version of Weaviate Cloud Services
A completely redesigned management console for Weaviate Cloud Services (WCS). WCS is the SaaS solution of Weaviate, offering managed Weaviate instances on the cloud. ☁️
📣 So, what’s new?
Create fully managed Weaviate clusters with minimal input
We create dedicated clusters for you that are ready out-of-the-box
The console allows direct interaction with the cluster
Currently, we support the Google Cloud Platform and a wide selection of regions
Azure and AWS are coming soon
Choose from 3 different SLA tiers depending on your needs
Business
Enterprise
Business critical
Clusters may be set up as highly available
Additionally, create 14-day trial sandboxes
Registration and sandbox creation are free, and everyone can sign up!

Weaviate introduces Webinar workshops!
🧑💻 Weaviate’s first(!) webinar workshop with JP, “Introduction to Weaviate,” is scheduled for the 4th of April at 1-2 pm CET.
💬 We aim to cover the following:
How AI language models "understand" text.
What is a vector database?
How a vector database can help you scale AI models.
A hands-on demo with Python, including:
Performing vector searches.
Using Weaviate's generative search to go beyond data retrieval with GPT-3.
Creating your own vector database on the cloud.
🙋 This will be an interactive workshop where you get to try out Weaviate and ask questions as we go.
🙏 We want to make these initial sessions intimate and interactive, so places are limited. Unfortunately, the maximum signup number has been reached for this workshop. However, we would like you to join us during our next workshop!
